Blake Hocker will be joining us for his 4th year.   Blake earned his Master's in Environmental Science from the University of N. Carolina and had received his B.S. from UNC in Marine Biology.   He is currently teaching Biology and Math at a small school in Kensington, Maryland.   Besides his internships with Mote Marine, the NC Marine Fisheries and the Piney Point Aquaculture Center in Maryland, Blake has worked as a volunteer at the Smithsonian National Zoo’s Reptile Discovery Center and the Maryland Zoo’s African Ungulates and Farm Center. Blake is SCUBA certified and works with several organizations including Stop Titan and the Surfrider Foundation. He is also the author of a children’s book, entitled “Turtle Tales.”
