Alicia Navarrete returns to AIO for her 9th summer with a plethora of teaching experience, including a brief stint at a Montessori school and 8 years with the Houston ISD Outdoor Education Center as a Program Leader. After graduating from SUNY in Oswego and completing her student teaching, Alicia spent nearly a year in Nicaragua teaching English as a second language.  Alicia has enjoyed 10 summers working with children and adults with a wide spectrum of disabilities at the Rochester Rotary Sunshine Campus. Currently, Alicia is teaching environmental education and working with a wilderness program.  She loves to travel and relishes outdoor activities of any and all sorts, performing basic carpentry and going to movies.
