Every other winter, AIO offers a special 9-day program in tropical marine ecology for alumni of our advanced sessions. For this session, we share the facilities of the Tropical Research and Education Center near San Pedro on Ambergis Caye in Belize. In addition to conducting research, we snorkel daily through the offshore reefs. The next program is offered during the week of Thanksgiving in November. Students who participate in the advanced summer sessions and whose work is exemplary may apply for this program. An informational meeting will be held during the summer sessions and students may apply as soon as the session ends.
